Des Mennear - Tregony Heavy Horse Show, Tregony Seniors Club and more

Welcome to another episode of the Roseland Podcast

I’m Chloe, your host.

In today’s episode:

  • I’m chatting to Tregony’s Des Mennear about a whole range of different entertainments!

If this is the first episode you’re listening to you can find and listen to the podcast at Roselandpodcast.com, on iTunes/Apple Podcast, on Spotify and all other podcast apps just search for “Roseland Podcast”.

Interview time!

Before we play the interview I have to confess I screwed up on this one! I set the recorder to record a mic I wasn’t actually talking into.

As Des was such an interesting guest I’ve done what I can to make what I did manage to record work. So apologies if you can’t make out everything I say - the good news is Des (the important part) was recorded just fine!

INTERVIEW

If you like the sound of all that entertainment then do have a listen to:

Lindsey and I are always on the lookout for more people to interview - so if you’d like to come on the show and talk about pretty much anything at all - we’re interested.

The first step is to drop us an email to roselandpodcast@gmail.com with your ideas and any questions you’ve got.

Everything is recorded in advance - it doesn’t go out live.

You don’t even have to be willing to come on the show - if you have a recipe, a poem, a story - you can record it at home and send us the mp3 file OR  just email it in and we can read it out for you.

I hope this will help us all feel a little less alone, and connected to our wonderful community.

If you want to make sure you hear the rest of the shows then bookmark roselandpodcast.com, and look for us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or your usual podcast app and subscribe.

Be kind and stay safe.

About the Podcast

Roseland Podcast
Updates on services, art, culture, history, sport(!), to help us feel less isolated
An audio podcast to help the communities on the Roseland stay connected during these interesting times.

Hopefully including:
- updates on services (like takeaways and food deliveries) from local businesses
- chats with interesting local people about interesting things
- updates on what people are doing to help each other

I suspect it will evolve as the weeks roll by...

NOT a source of medical advice! or politics.

Aim is to help those living on the Roseland peninsula feel a little less isolated.
Roughly speaking that means St Mawes, St Just-in-Roseland, Gerrans & Portscatho, Philleigh & Treworthal, Ruan Lanihorne, Tregony, Veryan and Portloe and all the little villages and homes in-between.
